    Founded in 2005, The Resolution Foundation is an award-winning thinktank that conducts authoritative analytical research on living standards in the UK. The website offers free access to reports and statistical data, which could be used as educational resources by students and lecturers of socioeconomics.     A collection of eight documentaries and 34 short films, all accessible for free via the Why Poverty website. The films address eight difficult questions: How do you change the world; How much inequality is too much; What does an education get you; Is it worse to be born poor than to die poor; How do you feed the world; Are women better at getting out of poverty than men; Do we know what poverty is; How much profit is fair. Why Poverty is an initiative of The Why Foundation, which is a non-profit organisation that produces and distributes factual public media projects to promote independent information on key global issues. Other documentary series produced so far include: Why Democracy and Why Women.

    Founded and directed by Mariana Mazzucato, Professor of Economics, the IIPP is a new UCL institute providing ‘some of the much needed fresh thinking about public policy driven by public purpose’. In partnership with the British Library they are delivering a series of lectures on how the public, private and third sectors need to work together to drive innovation and tackle the market challenges of the 21st century. The lectures are around 90 minutes long and can be accessed free of charge via the British Library’s event page or the IIPP’s YouTube Channel. Lectures delivered so far include, Unlocking Public Value from the Data Revolution, Architectural Agency in the Public Sector, The Public Purse: A Government Budget is Not a Family Budget – and Why This Matters,The Unruly Subject of Urban Neighbourhoods, The Public Value of Care and the Politics of Women’s Work.

    Bertha Foundation is devoted to promoting social justice by supporting collaborations between activists, storytellers and lawyers. It offers four film funds: the Bertha Film Fund, which gives grants for the creation of social impact documentary content; the IDFA Bertha Fund, which supports documentary filmmakers and festivals in developing countries; the Bertha Doc Society Journalism Fund, which is dedicated to supporting long feature documentaries of a journalistic nature, and The Guardian Berth Documentary Partnership which is currently commissioning a series of 12 short documentary films from independent filmmakers. The site also offers trailers of all the Bertha completed films via their Film Directory section.
