An extensively researched and authoritative online database of Shakespeare-related content in film, television, radio and video recording. It is international in scope and regularly updated currently holding over 8,000 records dating from the 1890s to the present day. This resource was created through a three-year Resource Enhancement grant from the Arts & Humanities Research Council. The Database encompasses not only ‘straight’ productions of the plays but also parodies, plot borrowings, documentaries, and Shakespeare as represented in music, mime and dance.

The National Review of Live Art (NRLA) Archive is a video archive containing performances from the NRLA festival from 1986 (the first year film records were kept) to its final year in 2010. Over the thirty years of its existence, the festival became a key event in the experimental arts world, covering dance and theatre as well as multi-media installations and sound and video art. The archive’s content reflects this diversity, covering not only the performances themselves but also discussions and interviews with participating artists. Given the challenging nature of some of the film, the site has a warning that it contains "material of a sexual and violent nature and deal openly with contentious issue" and users must be over the age of 18 to access the material.

Derived in part from the resource known as Artifact, a hub of the Resource Discovery Network (RDN), this excellent guide to websites on the ‘arts and creative industries’, provides helpful but not overwordy site descriptions and useful background material including an artists’ index and news features. NB Intute closed in July 2011 and the site has now been archived. No further resources are being added and no changes are being made to existing content, so the resource will increasingly become less useful and reliable.

The Live Art Archives holds information about existing Live Art and Performance Art materials, records and publications primarily in England and the UK. The database of events seems not to be as comprehensive as when it was first created by Nottingham Trent University in 1997, but it was a useful search facility, and the site has valuble contact lists, details of courses, archives, databases and venues. Now based at Bristol University.
