A number of interviews with staff from GNS Science talking about topical issues on Radio New Zealand, available as audio files or podcasts. GNS Science is a New Zealand government-owned research organisation offering independent scientific and technical advice in areas including: assessing the risks and managing the impacts of earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, and tsunamis; evaluating and managing oil, gas, geothermal, groundwater, and mineral resources using earth sciences; applying isotope chemistry and nuclear technology in biological and medical research, industrial processes, archaeology, fisheries and atmospheric research, oceanography, geology, hydrology, geochemistry, geothermal research and exploration, and environmental monitoring.

The ADS is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Board and JISC. The Archaeology Data Service supports research, learning and teaching with high quality and dependable digital resources. It does this by preserving digital data in the long term, and by promoting and disseminating a broad range of data in archaeology. The ADS promotes good practice in the use of digital data in archaeology, provides technical advice to the research community, and supports the deployment of digital technologies

There are two types of programmes - ‘productions’ are fully-edited programmes with commentary and ‘compilations’ are virtually unedited collections of archive material. A site designed to support the teaching and learning of history and classics as well as archaeology in higher education, with a particular emphasis on computer-based learning. Part of the Higher Education Academy, the site aims to build up a significant database of resources for teaching and learning archaeology, to include software, videos, films, articles, web sites etc. The database of archaeology resources is the best developed section at present.

A gateway to archaeology resources online, both worldwide and specifically related to the UK. It includes Archaeology in Education: audio-visual material for teaching and learning, a classified directory of film and video material compiled by Jim Ballantyne at the BUFVC, and originally published in printed form in Teaching Archaeology: a United Kingdom Directory of Resources edited by Don Henson and produced by the CBA and English Heritage in 1996. Some of the distribution information will now be out of date, and should be treated with caution.

Three series of podcasts: ‘Science Talk’ is a weekly audio report by Steve Mirsky discussing the latest developments in science and technology through interviews with leading scientists and journalists. The service began in February 2006 and is available by podcast or online download. ‘60-Second Science’ is a daily, one-minute report or commentary on a topic of scientific interest. ‘60-Second Psych’ is a weekly, one-minute commentary on the latest studies in neuroscience and behaviour, which is issued each Thursday.
