The Missing Link is devoted to British and American horror films and aims to provide a comprehensive listing of all those made up to 1950, with slightly scantier information taking it into the 1960s. The site includes film and book reviews and more general articles on particular personalities or themes, which are well researched and surprisingly in-depth. It is possible to search by title and by personality and many of the reviews include both video and audio clips which can be viewed using RealPlayer.

Previously a subscription service known as Tookeys Film Guide, this is now advert-supported and therefore much more accessible. It remains a fairly large and certainly up-to-date database, detailing the often eccentric opinions of film critic Christopher Tookey which can be searched by title, personality, year, keyword and genre. It also provides a very useful sampling of opinions by other critics as well as a rather dubious rating system. Now includes some of Tookey’s BBC Radio broadcasts.
