KORDA is a database on public funding for the film and audiovisual sector in Europe. It is compiled and managed by the European Audiovisual Observatory and it seeks to provide, in its own words "national and regional support schemes for the development, production and distribution of films and audiovisual works in the European Union Member States". The data goes as far back as 1995 but understandably the emphasis in on the here and now. As with many such European sites, the general design is more functional than pretty, but there is lots of useful information to be had (15 UK funders alone are listed!) and it is possible to search by country, funding body, type of production and where the main emphasis for support should be placed, all courtesy of a series of drop-down menus. The site is presumably named after the Hungarian-born and British-based filmmaker Sir Alexander Korda (and his brothers Vincent and Zoltan).
This site is no longer active, but the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine offers a capture of the website as it appeared on 03/05/2018. This does not include access to the moving images.
