Indiana University’s moving image archive is one of the largest and most comprehensive academic film collections in the world. Particularly noteworthy is its vast educational film collection, which includes career training films, U.S. Department of War productions, and more than 5,600 programmes produced by the National Educational Television (NET) network, the precursor to PBS. A selection of over 200 digitised films from the archive is now freely available to view online. With prominence given to the educational films, this resource provides a valuable window into the history and development of the use of moving image in education and covers a wide range of academic subjects including African American Studies, Anatomy and Physiology, Film Studies, Psychology and Teacher Education. The collection covers over eight decades, from 1909 to 1994, but the majority of films are from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The standard of the clips is generally good but in many cases the deterioration of the original film is inevitably reflected in the quality of the digital object itself.

A podcast "based around ideas of the enlightenment" which promotes science, freedom of expression, scepticism, secular humanism, and often ends up dealing with the converse of these values: superstition, religious fundamentalism and authoritarianism. The show has featured numerous guests from the worlds of science, literature, philosophy and politics, including Frank Furedi, A.C. Grayling, Christopher Hitchens, Jonathan Meades to name but a few. The approach is often polemical but the result is always informative and entertaining. The programmes are free to download. The series is also broadcast on Resonance FM.

This website, which is hosted by Nottingham University, consists of a series of short videos, each one about a single book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Many of the academics involved are biblical scholars, but the beauty of the site lies in its multifaceted approach, so that as well as theology, it takes in aspects of literature, geography, philosophy, politics, art and science, looking at the Bible in the context of the history of Western civilization.

The contents of the series from 2009 onwards are freely available as video and audio podcasts. Recent speakers include Terry Eagleton speaking on the God Debate, and former Prime Minister Gordon Brown on The Future of Jobs and Justice. Despite the jokey tagline - ‘Cosmic thinkers on camera’- and a somewhat playful presentation, this website, the brainchild of journalist, scholar and science writer Robert Wright, presents a series of stimulating video interviews and discussions with leading theologians, scientists, psychologists, mathematicians and philosophers who grapple with the fundamental questions of human consciousness, God and the universe. The debates on the website form a sort of ongoing colloquy with speakers arguing from positions of rationalism, atheism, mysticism etc. This interview with Daniel Dennett on quantum weirdness , free will and determinism, is a good example of how the site likes to look at the tenets of various scientific disciplines from a philosophical angle. Some of the subject headings also give an idea of the approach: Science and Religion; Faith and Reason; The Problem of Evil; Limits of Science. Other interviewees include Steven Pinker, Karen Armstrong, Francis Fukuyama, John Maynard Smith and Freeman Dyson.
