This site - also known as CroMe - presents interviews with Croatian citizens who have experienced violent situations in the time period 1941 - 1995: a timespan covering World War II, the Yugoslavia period and the Balkan conflicts of the 90s. There are hundreds of interviews, ‘with a particular emphasis on women and marginalised ethnic minorities, as well as on victims, particularly former inmates and family members of killed and missing persons’. Users can narow their search by word (in the text summary or subtitle) theme, place, region. The site is available in an English version but most of the videos are, of course, in Croatian. There is, however, a small selection which feature searchable English subtitles.

89 Voices is an oral history and social engagement project in which people from former Communist states give first-hand accounts of their experiences of the events of 1989. This microsite was created on the back of the Europeana 1989 project which asks people from every country involved in the events of 1989 to digitise their own stories, photos, videos and sound recordings. Ultimately the site will feature the memories and testimonies of 89 people: currently there are ten interviews with citizens from Poland, Latvia, Germany, Estonia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The interviews are hosted by SoundCloud and can be streamed or downloaded. Each interview is accompanied by a transcript.

This online radio station was established in 2010 by Kate Hudson, General Secretary of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). Shows are recorded at the CND headquarters in London and are available globally and free of charge, as downloads from iTunes and via live streaming. Two programmes are produced. ‘Open Door’ debates key themes in current affairs with an expert guest, covering issues as diverse as the global economic crisis, the political situation in the West Bank and health issues related to the use of nuclear power. ‘The Political Week’ is concerned with British politics and current affairs. Each week a studio guest highlights key issues in the week’s politics, offering views not normally heard in the mainstream British media.
