Taking its name from the number of electors in the US Electoral College, this podcast analyses politics and elections through opinion polls and other data to present an informed look at the subject through editor Nate Silver’s own methodology, (derived from a way of analysing baseball statistics) based on using poll data together with comparative demographic information. The site correctly predicted the winner of the 2012 election in all fifty states.

Media Burn’s mission is to preserve audiovisual records of history and culture and to make them available to anyone who wishes to see them. The archive has been accumulated over the 40-year career of videomaker and tv producer Tom Weinberg. The content derives from Weinberg’s own shows, from work by friends of Weinberg, or from donors including Bill Veeck and Studs Terkel.

A full range of academic subjects is covered and many of the films, programmes and clips are not otherwise available on DVD. A collection of political television adverts from key 2016 primary election states in the USA. The resource forms a searchable archive of political ads broadcast during the 2016 primary season and has been created by the Internet Archive in conjunction with a number of journalism advocacy groups. The aim of the resource is primarily to enable journalists to check each advert’s sponsor, topics covered, candidates mentioned, and the shows during it aired during.

The CAIN (Conflict Archive on the InterNet) website, located at the University of Ulster, contains information and source material on ‘the Troubles’ and politics in Northern Ireland from 1968 to the present. There is also some material on society in the region and a selection of digitised records from the National Archives of Ireland and the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland. The main sections are: Background to the Conflict; Key Events; Key Issues, Databases and Bibliographies, Northern Ireland Society and Conflict Studies. The films section lists films with ‘the Troubles’ as the theme. There is also video footage of a selection of Physical Memorials in public spaces. The videos contain no commentary and provide enough detail for users to be able to read inscriptions.

Politico Europe (formerly European Voice) is an English-language newspaper founded by The Economist Group in 1995. The newspaper reports on the activities of the key European Union institutions: the European Commission, European Parliament, and Council of Ministers. The paper is available on subscription or by direct sale from a limited number of newsstands in Brussels, London, Luxembourg, and Strasbourg – reflecting the specialist nature of its readership.
