The Gallery of Offenders part of the site is devoted to examples from television and print media (mainly from the US mainstream media, especially advertising) which portray women in a negative, belittling or inappropriately sexual way. The Gallery of Winners, on the other hand, picks examples which are positive, celebratory or progressive.

This resource was established at the University of Kent in 2013 to celebrate, preserve, and provide access to the archives and records of British stand-up comedy and comedians. The information on the University of Kent Special Collections page gives details of the available material, which includes stills, posters, production documents and audiovisual content, in the form of off-air recordings and video recordings of live events. A full catalogue will be made available online in 2016 but until then interested researchers can email the Special Collections team (specialcollections@kent.ac.uk) regarding the collections, which can be viewed in the Special Collections & Archives Reading Room in the Templeman Library. The digitisation is ongoing but some audiovisual content is already available on Soundcloud, including material from Attila the Stockbroker, Linda Smith, Mark Thomas and Richard Herring. The project’s excellent and informative blog provides regular updates about new acquisitions as well as interesting thoughts and advice on audiovisual digitisation on a budget in terms of equipment, funding and workflow.

The Baim Collection owns and controls all the copyright works of the director, writer and producer Harold Baim (1914-1996). Baim produced many 35mm ‘quota-quickies’ and short features, his early films featured variety acts; his later films were mainly colourful widescreen travelogues with commentaries by celebrated actors and broadcasters.

There are over one hundred and twenty short colour films originally made for cinema release in the UK and two feature films. Mostly in colour, over half the titles are available on BETA SP or DIGIBETA. DVD screeners are available to researchers and programme makers. HD copies can be made available from the 35mm negatives which are held in London. The majority of images have yet to be broadcast. The lists are primarily for use by producers, researchers and programme makers wishing to licence clips or images for inclusion in new films, television programmes and web pages. Includes a list of DVDs directed by Baim with links to Amazon.

The site includes a list of lost films by Baim with a plea for information.
