This project aims to recreate a lost feature film from the silent era using surviving clues and documents, including the surviving musical score, contemporary press reviews and other films from the same production company, Vitagraph Studios. It is not clear from the site if the project is still current but video interviews with the project’s originators give an interesting insight into the genesis of the venture - which began with the chance discovery of the film’s score in a junkshop - and its methodology.

The resource provides biographical information about women who have worked, or are currently working, in Swedish film, along with film clips, interviews, in-depth articles and news. Although the introduction is in English, most of the site is available in Swedish only.

This podcast is based on the simple idea of taking Hollywood scripts that have not yet been made into films and presenting them as full length radio plays, performed by Hollywood actors. The podcast is hosted by Leonard Franklin’s Black List site, which exists to support screenwriters by recommending their work to industry producers and professionals. Another interesting resources on the Black List site is 500 Feminist Films, a list of films (with links to imdb) based on a simple set of criteria: to qualify as a feminist film the film must have at least one of the following: a female director; a female screenwriter; a female lead; or features strong pro-woman themes. The list could be a good starting point for classroom/semimar discussion on the subject. The Table Reads podcast is also freely available in iTunes

The site lists filmographic details on over 2000 titles, as well as about 1000 photographs and 400 documents. Extracts from around 70 films are freely available to view online, along with contextual information written by film scholars and experts. Essays and articles on specific themes provide an insight into the history of the school and, in turn, throw light on the social history of the time, such as this piece on Feminismn at the dffb 1966-85. German language only.

The BCDB project began in 1996 as a list of Disney animated features on creator Dave Koch’s personal computer. In response to increasing interest in the material, the DataBase went online in 1998 as a searchable resource dedicated to compiling information about cartoons, including production details such as voice actors, producers, and directors, as well as plot summaries and user reviews. Other features include news items related to the animation industry and an image gallery, which allows users to see images of various cartoon characters taken from popular films. Many films are streamed on the site.
