An extensive collection of video and audio clips taken from interviews with scientists and scholars, including several Nobel Prize winners (Milton Friedman, Ilya Prigogine, Norman Borlaug, John F. Nash, Linus Pauling and others), available as streamed audio or video (a number are listed as being available shortly), with complete videos or transcripts available for purchase. This video subscription service offers very high quality QuickTime movies. The very high resolution samples on this site are of quite spectacular quality, but will require at 150mbs of free memory to play or the computer will crash. A few clips are available free, but otherwise a subscription is required. The movies are organised by genre (people, places, music, events etc.).
This is a general site that links to the dozen or so property programmes screened by Channel 4 and especially supports Grand Designs, streaming programmes from all the previous series as well as providing more general information on self-building and house improvement.
