BBC Radio 4 series. Dr Adam Rutherford and guests illuminate the mysteries and challenge the controversies behind the science that’s changing our world. Recent topics have included preserving global biodiversity, zero gravity space, new images of Pluto from the New Horizons space probe and artificial intelligence. LabMedicine is a journal published by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. The site hosts podcasts on microbiology, haemotology, chemistry, transfusion medicine, phebotomy and laboratory management. There is no information given in the listings beyond title and speaker but the titles are self-explanatory.

eLife publishes outstanding research in the life sciences and biomedicine, from the most fundamental and theoretical work, through to translational, applied, and clinical research. It aims to esearch to improve the way important results are presented and shared and the open-access eLife journal is the first step in the initiative to make science publishing more effective. The epodcasts produced by The Naked Scientists include magnetic nerve cells, the social behaviour of ants, optogenetics and gene therapy. Transcripts can be downloaded.

Science and Society, launched in June 2003, was one of the first-internet radio programmes, and the site claims that it was one of the first in the United States to introduce downloadable podcasts as a value-added service. The podcasts present interviews with more than 600 world leaders in science, industry, and education. It focuses on Environmental conservation and sustainable energy policy, Medical breakthroughs, including cancer research, genetics and genomics, and bioengineering, Nanotechnology, Space exploration, Robotics and computer science and K-12 science education. The podcasts can be searched by themes such as Genetics and Genomic Medicine, Robotics and AI and Stem Cell Research. Each entry incorporates information about the speaker and bullet points summarising content.
