    HEDS is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee and run by the University of Hertfordshire. It provides advice, consultancy and a complete production service for digitisation and digital library development, serving not only the education sector, but also public libraries, museums, archives and other non-profit making organisations. The site includes details of the various digitisation projects and institutions with which HEDS has worked, and information on implementing a digitisation project.     The BMA Library has one of the largest collections of medical films and videos in the UK, with material dating from 1924 to the mid-1980s. Film material from 1950 onwards and most of the video collections is available for loan. Most subject areas in medicine are covered, with the majority being most suitable for medical students and doctors. The audiovisual collection can be searched on the online catalogue.

    This sister site to MIT World offers a vast array of educational content from the courses run at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology including lecture notes, readings and other study materials. By the end of 2007 it Had set itself the aim to have practically all its course materials online although this has proved hard to sustain. The courses range from Chemistry, Economics, History, Literature and Physics and these can be downloaded as zip files.
