The AHRB Centre for British Film and Television Studies, was created in October 2000 with five years funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Board (now Council), ‘to enhance and extend the recent growth in high level academic research on British Film and Television’. Its funding concentrated on financing Junior and Senior Research Fellowships and the website includes links to two of the major projects funded by the Centre: Moving History: an online guide to UK film and television archives in the public sector produced by the University of Brighton South East Film and Video Archive and British Artists’ Film and Video Study Collection, produced by Central St Martins College of Art and Design, as well as research reports on Dufaycolor, film and broadcasting policy submissions, and a response to the White Paper ‘A New Future for Communications’.There is also an archive of newsletters from the project produced between 2003- 2005.
