This public site presents a selection of films, stills, correspondence and other production documents from the archive of the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (German Film and Television Academy Berlin). The site lists filmographic details on over 2000 titles, as well as about 1000 photographs and 400 documents. Extracts from around 70 films are freely available to view online, along with contextual information written by film scholars and experts. Essays and articles on specific themes provide an insight into the history of the school and, in turn, throw light on the social history of the time, such as this piece on Feminismn at the dffb 1966-85.
