A multi-platform project which includes a series of films detailing the scientific progress made by scientists in the USA in understanding and treating Alzheimer’s as well as the effects of the disease on those with Alzheimer’s and their families. The series consists of four documentaries and 15 shorter supplemental films.
The first documentary, The Memory Loss Tapes, follows seven people living with the disease, each in an advancing state of dementia, showing how the illness manifests itself very differently in each individual case. The second film, Grandpa, Do You Know Who I Am?, tells the stories of five children whose grandparents have Alzheimer’s. The third documentary, Momentum in Science, is a two-hour, two-part film which visits the laboratories and clinics of 25 leading scientists and physicians and examines their research into the treatment of the disease. The fourth film, Caregivers, looks at the lives of those caring for people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
