The Listening Project is an ambitious partnership between BBC Radio 4, BBC local and national radio stations, and the British Library. Begun in 2012, people up and down the country are invited to submit an intimate conversation with a close friend or relative, to help to build a unique picture of our lives today through listening to two people chatting, nattering, conversing, confessing, and communicating. Some of these conversations will be broadcast across BBC radio and then held in the British Library Sound Archive, preserving them for future generations.
