The British Library has held two Unlocking Audio conferences relating to sound digitisation. The first, in 2007, was on Sharing Experience of Mass Digitisation and explored the planning and strategies required for the successful execution of large-scale audio digitisation projects, and the technical and practical issues involved. The second, Connecting with Listeners was held in 2009 and looked at the use of sounds online and ways that researchers and other audiences expect to discover, browse, audition and analyse archival audio resources. This website provides the full conference programmes and audio/video recordings of selected contributions to the debate.
