An on-going multi-media project, launched in 2008, that aims to provide a guide to the history and heritage of wildlife filmmaking. It consists of television programmes and films dating back to 1896. This historically valuable material has been donated by the most famous names in Natural History broadcasting, as well as a host of specialist and private collections. The project is also collecting behind the scenes photographs, and recording video interviews with industry pioneers. The resulting collection is freely available and is being stored at high resolution in the WildFilmHistory media vault for the benefit of future generations. Clips from 200 films are streamed on the website.
