Educator Strategies for a Playful Classroom

Synopsis
What do play and scientific experimentation have in common? This is the last episode in a five-part video series in which the Ontario Science Centre helps teachers to start using play-based learning in the classroom. Through stimulating hands-on activities centred on the Earth and Space curriculum strand, the video explores how to harness students’ natural curiosity and assess learning using both indoor and outdoor programming. This video covers strategies for curriculum planning, nurturing student curiosity, and collaborating with families, and explores cross-curricular learning opportunities linked to plants. [4 minutes]
