Massey Ferguson Farm Implements and Machinery: Part 2 1970 - 77
- Synopsis
- Part 2 looks at the period 1970-1977, when Massey Ferguson was responding to the drive for increased agricultural output.
The programme features a range of seven different ploughs from and MF 40 2-furrow to an 86 6-furrow model along with a wide range of ground-engaging and other implements. The very first MF 1100 tractor sold in the UK is shown pulling an MF 23 coil-tine cultivator. MF’s famous pressure-control coupler is seen operating with a set of 520 disc harrows and 178 tractor.
The filmmakers select a range of original or restored implements and show them working with appropriate tractors. - Language
