Beautiful Dachau

Synopsis
'Beautiful Dachau’ is an experimental documentary that observes streams of visitors to the Dachau concentration camp, now a popular tourist attraction. 800,000 people visit the site annually.

The film is part of a project called ‘In Time of Place’, which investigates selected symbolic sites associated with Jewish identity, the diaspora and the Holocaust. The project focuses on the creation of four practice-as-research films made in Dachau, Venice, Prague and Boston, and a series of publications.
