Journey to Fire Mountain

Synopsis
These programmes follow the progress of a team of scientists as they venture into the heart of two of the most explosive volcanoes in the world on the island chain of Vanuatu. In part one the team explore the volcano Yasur, on the island of Tanna, as they retrieve lava bombs that contain vital data. The second part sees the team abseil into the crater of the volcano Marum, on the island of Ambrym, as they try to obtain samples that could be vital to the safety of the island’s inhabitants.
