Synopsis
'The Romance of the Far Fur Country’ was first released in 1920, two years before the ‘Nanook of the North’. It is a silent documentary depicting Arctic fur trappers in 1919 and was made to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Hudson Bay Company. It is one of the earliest documentaries about the lives of the Arctic fur trappers. This edition includes four hours of extras, educational materials and scholarly essays.
