Sharing Pregnancy: A Film for Fathers

Synopsis
For those involved in childbirth, it is a great privilege to share in such a profound family event. As such this should include and encourage the useful participation of fathers. Who better to provide relief for muscular and emotional strains and give continuity of care and support throughout pregnancy, labour and childbirth than a loving partner? There is no reason why fathers should not participate fully in the care of their partner and child before, during or after birth.

There are many reasons for partners to be birth educated, not least to provide physical support for their partner in an upright position to make the whole birth experience easier. The massage and support positions are shown and clearly explained, but the later stages of pregnancy are not illustrated.
