Where Did Humans Go During the Last Ice Age?

Synopsis
This video was produced as part of the Digital Research Video Project, led by Suzanne Pilaar Birch as part of the Social Medial Knowledge Exchange (SMKE) at the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CRASSH) at the University of Cambridge. It is based on the PhD research of Pia Spry-Marques and produced by Sarah Castor-Perry. The video itself presents a brief summary of the theory that during the upper Palaeolithic period, the area now submerged beneath the Adriatic Sea, was exposed due to the growth of ice sheets, and that this area - the so-called Adriatic Plain - was probably inhabited by hunter-gatherers.

Funding for the project is provided by the Arts & Humanities Research Council (UK) and the video is protected under a Creative Commons copyright.
