- Synopsis
- The 1902 film La VOYAGE DANS LA LUNE [14 minutes] is the most famous of the many fantasy films made by Georges Méliès, using animation and special effects to tell the story of how the members of the Astronomers’ Club travel to the moon in a rocket, encounter the Selenites, escape from their king and queen and return safely to earth where they are heralded as heroes. This DVD presents the restored colour print of the film which was discovered by the Barcelona Archive in 1993. Included as an extra is Serge Bromberg and Eric Lange’s documentary The EXTRAORDINARY VOYAGE [78 minutes].
