- This documentary tells the story of the struggle between the Houses of Lancaster and York using full scale reconstructions and recreations. Graphic animation clearly explains the movements and tactical intentions of each army; while narrated eyewitness accounts from soldiers, statesman, courtiers and scribes add a vivid insight from those who were there. Historians and scholars provide expert analysis and specially filmed footage of the battlefields as they are today completes the picture. DVD extras include a feature ‘Towton Graves’ featuring forensic analysis of the skeletons from the recently discovered mass graves at the site of the Battle of Towton, in which 30,000 men were killed.
