- Synopsis
- Documentary chronicling the life and work of Qi Shu Fang, one of the most well-known masters of Chinese Opera, who has moved, with her husband Ding Me-kui and their company of Chinese Opera performers to the United States. The film examines the intricacies of Peking Opera as well as exploring why Ms Qi has made the difficult move to America where she and her company have to balance pressures to assimilate with the needs of cultural expression and preservation.
