Green for Danger

Synopsis
Comedy crime film. In a rural English hospital during WWII, a postman dies on the operating table. One of the nurses states that she has proof of who the murderer is. The facetious Inspector Cockrill suspects one of the five doctors and nurses who were in the operating theatre to be the assassin. But four poisonous pills have disappeared..... The film includes a scene in which the Doctor attempts to seduce a pretty nurse by quoting Lorenzo’s "In such a night as this" speech (The Merchant of Venice, Act V, sc i). Alistair Sim, playing the detective, interrupts him by continuing the quotation. {With acknowledgment to Richard Burt].
