Energy Under Control

Synopsis: A short video (8 mins) looking at three Eueopean projects for cutting domestic energy consumption. One involves the use of energy meters attached to individual appliances; the second involves installing smart gateways in a house which can control appliances such as the washing machine or the freezer to use energy at times of the day when it is cheaper or renewable energy is more plentiful; the third shows a building in Greece in which all the energy needs are supplied by its own wind and solar power generators and surplus energy is transformed by electrolysis into hydrogen for storage.
