Synopsis

Produced before the global financial meltdown, this documentary examines America’s rapidly growing national debt and the consequences for the country and its citizens. Burdened with an ever-expanding government and military, increased international competition, overextended entitlement programmes and debts to foreign countries that are becoming impossible to honour, America, seemingly, has to mend its spendthift ways or face an unprecedented economic disaster.
