Destination Fashion - India

Synopsis
In India, DESTINATION FASHION travels to Mumbai and Delhi, where the emergence of fashion weeks has provided a platform for India to show the rest of the fashion world what it’s been missing. Ritu Kumar, considered the queen of Indian fashion, is interviewed, as is notable Bollywood designer Rocky S. India has 16 million people working in the textile industry and their indigenous skills are second to none. Indo-Western fusion is becoming hugely popular and malls are the new places to be seen. Rohit Bal has brought about a resurgence in Indian menswear and is keen on preserving craft techniques that are under threat. Features fashion experts from Elle India, the National Institute of Fashion Technology and former Miss World Neha Kapur
