Her Name is Sabine

Synopsis
A sensitive and very personal portrait by actress Sandrine Bonnaire of her younger sister Sabine who spent five years in a mental hospital and has only recently been diagnosed as being autistic. The film includes footage taken at her current care home as well as 25 years of home movies, and reveals how her sister’s life and vivacious personality were crushed by an improper diagnosis and an inadeqaute care structure. It sends a message to a society that has trouble taking care of its citizens with physical and psychological disabilities
