Detective, The

Synopsis
Feature film. Story set in an hotel, concerning the activities of four groups of people, including two detectives trying to solve a murder which happened in there. All the characters read from literary classics throughout the film, one is The Tempest. It is the detective (William Prospero) who reads (`Be not afeard, the isle is full of noises’). It has been noted that this film was Godard’s last in a particular phase of filmaking and can be seen as his farewell to cinema.
