London Calling - 1600
- Synopsis
- Radio broadcast. Written and arranged in Elizabethan English by Herbert Farjeon, Radio Times announces this programme as being an "impression - a conjecture - a shot in the dark at what listeners might have heard had broadcasting been invented in the reign of Queen Elizabeth". Among the items sure to comprise an evening’s programme are "Relays of Master Will Shakespeare’s plays from the Globe Theatre" (Stowell, op.cit).
