Bayes Theorem

Synopsis
The programme aims to demonstrate the need for Bayes Theorem and shows how it is applied. The programme falls into three parts: 1) An illustration of how probabilities can easily be miscalculated; 2) A simple demonstration of the calculations involved in the application of Bayes Theorem.; 3) A more complex application of Bayes, based on the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism. Each part uses a practical situation.
