Synopsis
One of a series of seven films produced by the National Geographic Society in association with the television station WQED, Pittsburgh. Discusses the influence of Italy on Elizabethan writers. Scenes from Romeo and Juliet are intercut with location shots of Italy to document Italy’s romantic appeal to Elizabethan England.
