Grizzly Man

Synopsis
For 13 summers amateur grizzly bear expert Timothy Treadwell lived in an area of Katami National Park, so heavily populated with grizzly bears that it has become known as "The Grizzly Maze". In October 2003, Treadwell’s remains, along with those of his girlfriend were discovered near their campsite in the Alaskan Reserve. They had been mauled and devoured by a grizzly bear. While he paid the perhaps inevitable price for his work, the 100 hours of footage Treadwell shot over this period is stunning. It is from this footage that Herzog sculpted GRIZZLY MAN, a film that uncovers as much about human nature as it does the bears Treadwell set out to study.
