Synopsis
A documentary focussing on four key wars fought at the end of the British Empire, featuring original archive and news footage together with dramatic reconstructions of key events and first-hand accounts from former soldiers, terrorists, politicians and intelligence specialists. The four episodes featured are Kenya - The Hunt for Kimathi, Aden - Mad Mitch and his Tribal Law, Malaya - The Intelligence War and Palestine - The Jewish War.

The DVD also includes extended interviews with key participants that were not broadcast on television.

This edition tells the story of the end of British rule in Aden. In June 1967, British troops came under attack from Arab police. 22 British soldiers were killed and Aden lay in the hands of guerrillas. Col Colin Mitchell was tasked with re-establishing order and his actions placed him on a collision course with the establishment.
