Synopsis
Feature film loosely based on The Taming of the Shrew and Count Lucanor by Juan Manuel. Set during the Revolution of Juarez, the film opens in the town of Cholula, which has been seized by rebel forces. The revolutionary general, Jose Juan Reyes, falls in love with Beatriz, the beautiful and headstrong daughter of Cholula’s most powerful landowner. Beatriz is engaged to an American, Roberts, and scoffs Reyes advances. But when he leads the troops out of town, Beatriz voluntarily follows him leaving Robert at the altar.
