Synopsis
Television programme in a series on human consciousness. Psychologist Nicholas Humphrey discusses why we care about fictional characters, using as illustration a performance from Hamlet (III iv). During the five-minute sequence Humphrey comments on his involvement in the action from the point of view of the audience.
