- Ralph Ambrose Kekwick (1908-2000), was born in Leytonstone, Essex. A graduate of University College London, an institution with which he maintained a long association, he spent many years at the Lister Institute for Preventive Medicine in London where he undertook ultracentrifuge and electrophoretic investigations on pathological and immune sera. Later he used the same techniques in his pioneering research on blood plasma analysis. In 1957 his work led to the first clinical use of Factor-8 in treating haemophilia. He discusses his career, his family background, family life, and activities during his retirement years. 144 minutes.
