- Organising quantitative data
- Synopsis
- The second title in the series concentrates on understanding and organising data using descriptive statistics. Using data collected from studies of music pupils, students are taken through measures of central tendency, levels of measurement, measures of dispersion and graphs. Animation and instructional graphics clarify all explanations and reinforce important concepts. Covers in detail:- mode, median and mean; discrete and continuous data; nominal, ordinal, interval/ratio data, range, standard deviation and the Normal Distribution, as well as selecting appropriate graphs. The video concludes with a quick quiz to assess understanding and focus on key areas. The step-by-step approach is reassuring and encourages students that statistics need not be intimidating and can bring study to life.
