Synopsis

First discovered by French chemist Rene Gattefosse, aromatherapy of a sort occurs every day in our lives. This video teaches viewers about the basic principles of aromatherapy, which involves the distillation of essential oils from assorted herbs and plants. Certain of those oils, depending on the user’s ailment, are then absorbed into the skin directly, or inhaled for their curative properties. Aromatherapy is also used more generally to improve feelings of wellness, vitality, or to relieve stress.
