Banking on Life and Debt

Synopsis
The film argues that the "new world economic order" has become a major cause of national debt, export imbalances and financial instability for developing nations. Export policies, cuts in health and education programs and forced farmland sales are among the terms dictated by the World Bank. The video visits three countries where the international banking community has caused diminished living conditions: Ghana, Brazil and the Philippines. Argues that it is time for change in the world monetary policies. For grade 10 to adults.
