Signalman, The

Synopsis
An adaptation by Andrew Davies of the short story by Charles Dickens, shown in 1976 as the sixth programme in the BBC’s annual GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS series. Strange things are being seen and heard by a signalman based on a lonely stretch of country rail track. The traveller who befriends him is positive there must be a rational explanation, but the increasingly terrified signalman cannot be convinced .... The DVD includes a reading fo the original Dickens story by John Nettleton.
