It aims to help them see others as individuals and demonstrates how to benefit from a rich diversity of backgrounds and experience. The programme introduces individuals who are both familiar to us and differ from us in significant ways. It gives a powerful insight into their diverse lives and allows us to see how our minds process information about others. Consists of two 8-minute videos - one with ‘assumptions’ , the other without; an audio-only version; a course leader’s guide and computer disk containing Powerpoint slides/OHPs and a self-study workbook. The support materials were written by diversity experts Dr George Simons and Dr Walt Hopkins.
