Synopsis
One of a series of 13 short films about remarkable scientific discoveries by Nobel prizewinners and their colleagues.

This film looks at how radio, television and the computer have changed our lives through the inventions of Nobel prizewinners. Subjects covered include the triode valve, the cathode ray tube, the transistor, the silicon chip and the laser, Marconi’s first trans-Atlantic radio signal, the information superhighway and satellite communication.
