Three by Duato

Synopsis
Three modern works by Spanish master choreographer and director of the Compania Nacional de Danza de Espana, Nacho Duato. Presented are ‘Por Vos Muero’, inspired by Spanish music and dance from the 15th and 16th centuries set to some beautiful verses of the Spanish poet Garcilaso de la Vega. ‘Arenal’, inspired by songs of Majorcan singer Maria del Mar Bonet and ‘Duende’, an Andalusian word which is often connected to flamenco, meaning the spell it casts over its audience, in which Duato visualises shapes, not people, relationships or events in what he describes as a ‘sculptural work’
